Meditation for Abundance

This week’s meditation focuses on gratitude for all that we have in our lives and how to make room for more of what we would love to bring in.

We walk through a process to ease any tension around our desires and bring ourselves back to a place of peace and appreciation to allow for what we want next.

Hello, I invite you to close your eyes and settle in….

Beginning to feel your body relax into the space that you inhabit….

Starting off by taking the deepest breath you’ve taken yet today….inhaling deeply….and exhaling….letting it all go…..

Bringing your attention to your breath…..breathing in peace, love, harmony…..breathing out any tension, frustration, or any feeling you would like to release….

Remembering that it is totally normal to have thoughts float through your mind…..and when you notice them, just acknowledge that they are there and then let them float through…coming back to your breath each time….

And now taking some space to feel relaxation float through your body….starting to feel your brow relax….feeling the space behind your eyes softening…letting your jaw go slack….just noticing your mouth….your lips….your tongue…

Feeling the relaxation flowing down through your neck and shoulders and into your body…..

Opening your heart space…..softening your belly…

Just noticing how it feels to be you in this moment…..feel into your body…come down from your mind and any stories that may be floating through….down into your body….remembering that this is where your true wisdom lies….

And now that you’re in this very relaxed space…..I’d love to invite you to ponder abundance….

What does abundance mean to you? What comes up inside of you when you hear me say the word?

Abundance means having all we need in life….it can be physical things, but can and is also so much more….in fact everything….abundance is love….it is feeling cared for…it’s having quality relationships….it is knowing that all is well in this very moment…..

Now this doesn’t mean that you can’t want more in your life…..it means being ok with and grateful for all that you have in this moment….in peace…..and relaxation…..knowing that all is well…

And if you find that there is something else you would love to have in your life…..then fabulous! This is life….it is ever expanding and evolving…..

So now let’s ponder for a moment……let’s start by appreciating all that you have in your life in this moment…..bring to mind perhaps 3 things that you are so grateful for…..and sit with them for a moment…..let the feelings of love and appreciation for these things in your life bubble up within you….can you feel the appreciation? Can you feel the love?

Sit for a moment and just feel this appreciation…..

And now that you are residing in this space……this place of utter love and appreciation…..

I invite you to bring to mind something else that you would love to experience in your life….this can be a thing….an experience….or an emotion…..there is no right or wrong….it is what is present for you…..

And as you bring this to mind….notice what you are feeling in your body…..if you experience any feelings of lack for not having it yet or desperation in needing it….I invite you to sit with those feelings….they are not wrong or bad….they just need to move through you……

And I encourage you not to skip this step…it is very important because we don’t create the things we would love to experience from a place of lack or desperation…..those feelings slow things down…so instead of fighting through them….give them space….let them move through and when they do….you’ll notice that you feel lighter again….

And from this space of lightness and joy…. You can then bring your attention back to this thing that you would love to bring into your life….

Remembering that you have all that you need in this very moment and this desire doesn’t come from need…..rather from love…..

And know that what we desire, desires us and our only job is to stay in a place of peace and knowing…. and if or when you find yourself having feelings that don’t feel so good….come back to your body…..and let them move through….and then you’ll be able to come back to this place of peace and creation…..

And now …..sitting in this place for a moment or two…..breathing….feeling appreciation for all that you have in your life…..knowing that what you desire is making its way to you….and just breathing…..

And now….I invite you to bring your attention back to the room that you’re in….hearing the sound of my voice….feeling the surface beneath you…slowly wiggling fingers and toes….shrugging your shoulders or stretching in any way that feels good to you and ever so slowing…..and only when you’re ready….opening and closing your eyes…
