Signs as Communication

In today’s musings I talk about the fact that we are not alone here in our physical form. That we are surrounded by and connected to All that Is.

I also dive into signs, what they are, what they may mean and how this is individual to each of us.

Hello, and welcome to my musings.

Today I want to talk about the fact that we are always connected to something more than ourselves in this physical reality, whether you call that the Universe, Source, God, our Higher Selves, or All that is. The point is, that we are not alone. I’m going to use Source for the purpose of this conversation.

So, as I say this, what comes up for you? Do you feel the connection or just the opposite? Did that bring up feelings of peace and warmth or feelings of separation and aloneness? There is no right or wrong answer. Whatever comes up for you is true for you, so please notice and judgements and soften into them, letting float up and out. That is the first order of business.

So, today I want to talk about how to use this information. Once we know that we are connected and that we’re not alone. How can we use this? I’ve read and often share with people, that there are a couple of pieces to this.

One is that we don’t have to worry about things. Since we are connected and always taken care of, we can relax and know that there is more going on than we can see. This is often called faith or trust. It’s knowing that we are here, but not alone. That we have helpers of whatever sort watching over us. You may think of our helpers as angels, our ancestors that have passed over, our spirit guides, all of the above or whatever works for you.

Remember that we came here with a plan and part of that plan was support from the unseen. We just need to remember this. How lucky are we?

So, having acknowledged this, I want to discuss some ways in which we are reminded that we are not alone. I want to talk about signs from “above” (or wherever they come from for you). I’m sure you’ve heard about signs, but I’d like to personalize it a bit.

So, what are signs? I feel that signs are things that are meaningful for us personally. A sign for me may be different than a sign for you. I also feel that anytime you see something and think, oh, that’s a sign, then it is!

There is so much information available about signs. You can literally google it. Say for instance, you see a fox run across the road, you can google “What is the spiritual meaning of fox? Or, you can tune into yourself and see what comes up for you as you ponder it.

There are also books and oracle cards galore that can give you the authors interpretation of signs. I have books on animals, numbers etc that are well worn as I’m always looking things up.

So how do you connect with signs? For me, it’s a lot of things. Whenever I see a hawk I think of my mother as she liked hawks. Whenever I see one fly above I say “Hi Mum!” Hawks are known for their vision and strength and as such are seen as guardians and it’s also been said that they herald a time of protection for new ventures we may be embarking on.

I gave the fox example because I quite often see them. One of the meanings of fox is that they are the keepers of magic, healing and the gifts of shapeshifting and invisibility.

Another kind of sign is numbers. I’m sure you’ve heard of this as we’re all talking about it. Some people say “make a wish” when they see 11:11 on the clock. There are entire books written about angel numbers. Each number combination can mean something different along various themes. For instance, 3’s tend to align with messages from the ascended masters and 8’s relate to abundance in all forms, etc.

And on a larger scale I feel that when we are constantly seeing the same number combination or groups of three of the same number, i.e.111, 222, 333, etc that at the very least, we are being reminded that we are not alone. You can look up the various meanings for fun but know that if numbers are meaningful to you and that you are seeing them, that you are just getting a gentle reminder that you’re not alone.

Another kind of sign that I love is when you are contemplating something in life, perhaps a “should I do this or that” kind of moment, and then you get a phone call or text from someone related to that question or you “stumble” across an article or someone says something directly related to the topic, or my favorite, you literally see a sign that says “yes” or “no”.

The bottom line is that there is no end to the way in which we can receive signs from Source. We are always connected, we are not separate, and the signs are a reminder of that for us. We are not alone. We are always guided. Sometimes it doesn’t feel that way, but how often have you looked back at how something worked out and thought “Wow! That’s wild. I wouldn’t have thought about it coming about like that, but there it is”.

The bigger message here is that we need to trust and have faith that what we want in life will come to us in the perfect way and quite often even bigger and better than we could have created it ourselves.

As always, I would love to hear your feedback. Did this resonate with you? What did it bring up for you?

Thanks for being with me today and remember that true peace is always just one breath away.
